What a couples session in Lisbon feels like
We meet at a spot that is easy to find, spend the first five minutes chatting and walking so you forget about the camera, and then build the session around small prompts instead of stiff poses: walk towards us and whisper something ridiculous, stop at the railing and look at the view, dance for ten seconds on an empty street. The result is photos of the two of you, not of two people trying to look natural.
Lisbon helps. The light bounces off pale limestone and pastel façades, the streets are narrow enough to feel intimate, and the viewpoints give you the whole city behind you. We plan the route so you are always in the right place for the light — shaded lanes when the sun is high, open viewpoints for sunrise and sunset.

Honeymoons, anniversaries and "just because"
A honeymoon session is usually the first time a couple has professional photos since the wedding, so we lean into that: a mix of classic portraits you can frame and candid moments that show what Lisbon was like for you. For anniversaries we often recreate an old photo, or include the place where you got engaged or first visited together. Babymoons and pregnancy announcements have their own page — see maternity photoshoots.
All couples are welcome. If you would prefer a quieter route away from crowds, sunrise is the easiest way to get it.
What to wear as a couple
Coordinate, don't match: pick two or three colours that sit well together and avoid big logos. Soft tones — cream, sage, dusty blue, terracotta — look beautiful against Lisbon's façades and blue tiles, and one of you can wear a stronger colour to stand out. Bring shoes you can walk in: Lisbon's calçada pavement is uneven and gets slippery. There is much more in our what to wear guide.
How many photos, how soon
A 60-minute session gives at least 50 edited photos, a 90-minute session at least 80. Everything is edited by hand for natural skin tones and colour, and delivered in a private gallery within 7 days (5 days for Signature).

Frequently asked questions
We are awkward in photos. Will this work for us?
Yes — that describes most of the couples we photograph. We give simple prompts and keep you moving, so you are reacting to each other rather than posing for a camera.
How long should a couples photoshoot be?
Sixty minutes is the sweet spot: enough for two nearby locations and plenty of variety. Choose 90 minutes if you want a whole neighbourhood walk or an outfit change.
What is the best time of day for a couples session in Lisbon?
The hour after sunrise or before sunset. Sunrise is quieter; sunset is warmer and busier. Midday works in shaded streets but light is harsher on the viewpoints.
Can we change outfits?
In a 90-minute session, yes. Cafés and hotel lobbies nearby are the easiest places to change.
Do you photograph same-sex couples?
Of course. Every couple is welcome.
Can we bring our dog or our kids?
Absolutely — tell us in advance so we pick a route with a little more space.
Is sunrise really worth the early alarm?
For the famous viewpoints, yes: empty terraces and soft light. If you're not early risers, the hour before sunset is the next best thing.
